Betsy Kessing
USPTA Pro 1 Betsy Kessing is the head tennis professional for Arden Park in Sacramento, Calif. and has been teaching for over 30 years. She has also been self-employed for the last eight years building computers and teaching people to use various software programs.

Betsy became a tennis pro because of her love of the sport and a desire to work with people. “I have some of the greatest people to work with and I love my work environment,” she says. She excels at teaching children and teaching women singles and doubles strategies. A large group of her women clients participate in SATA tennis leagues.

Betsy holds a bachelor’s degree from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Va. She played four years of college tennis and has competed both locally and nationally. She has been ranked as high as 15th in national 35s and as high as No. 1 in the Northern California Section in several age divisions. A few years ago she played on a USTA team that competed at nationals. Betsy plans to start playing again and compete at the national level.

Off the court, Betsy referees college and high school basketball. She has two children, Christina, 27, and Bryan,21.
